There are many online resources to help you start your prepping journey. This page will be updated frequently to include additional resources from government projects and private organizations.

Ready.gov is a website maintained by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to help citizens get prepared. You can find many helpful resources here including:

• Emergency alerts and warnings to keep you informed about potential disasters in your area
• Preparedness toolkits for specific types of emergencies, such as hurricanes, wildfires, and floods
• Information on creating a family communication plan and a plan for pets and animals
• Tips on building a preparedness kit and maintaining emergency supplies

• Information on how to prepare your home for emergencies, including securing furniture and appliances, and shutting off utilities
